Obituary of Dorothy Berger

(nee Ritchie) June 10, 1918 – May 6, 2023 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Myrtle Berger who passed away peacefully on Saturday May 6, 2023, at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew at the blessed age of 104. She is reunited with her late husband Ewald Berger and daughter Marilyn Berger. Dorothy was the cherished grandmother of Bruce Delahunt (Louise), Donna Gilks (Keith Holman), Rodney Gilks, David Gilks and Lori Gilks (Kirk). She will be missed by her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Mervyn, Elmer, Hilda and Kenny. Daughter of the late Alan and Mary (Nesbitt) Ritchie. Dorothy will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering spirit, and the love she shared with her family. She will be deeply missed and will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Visitation will take place at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Friday May 12, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. In memory of Dorothy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
