Obituary of Carl Cox

Carl Eugene Cox, CD July 26, 1961- January 12, 2023 Retired-Canadian Military, 33 years, Royal Canadian Dragoons/Lord Strathcona’s Horse (RC) It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Carl Cox announce his sudden passing at home, Thursday evening, January 12, 2023 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Pamela Cox (nee Germann) and much-loved father of Aaron and Corrinne Cox. Carl will be missed by his granddaughter Teagan. Dear brother of Lisa Belanger (Christian) and Heather Fudge (Scott). Missed by many nieces and nephews. Carl was born in Glace Bay to his late parents Edgar and Ann Marie (Gordon) Cox. After Carl retired from the military he embarked on a second career as a Health and Safety Inspector in the construction industry and was respected and well loved. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humour and commanding presence. His favourite motto was “Chain driven, belt fed…”. Carl’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A graveside memorial service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date to be announced. Donations may be made in Carl’s memory to the RCD Association.
