Uncle Marvin had a great sense of humour and I remember him sharing many a laugh and funny story with his siblings. I always greatly admired his service in the St. John's Ambulance--he must have participated in many events and had some great experiences through that. One of my recent memories was of him climbing down from his tractor. He was stiff from a bad knee (?) and you could tell it wasn't easy for him, but he was farmer 'til the last!
Sorry to miss the service. My condolences to all the family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Needham Family. I met Marvin as one of his PSW'S while he was still at home. I always enjoyed my time with Marvin. A gentle, kind soul who shared many wonderful memories of life on the farm as well as his time with St. John Ambulance with me. Rest in Peace, Dear Marvin.

Sorry for your families loss.
He sat at the same table as my husband ( Moe Lacasse) for meals at the Grove.
I would help him get set in place and put on apron.
It made his day. We'd have a wee chat.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all

My condolences to the Needham family. I grew up not far from the Needham farm but I never met Marvin until a few months ago. I participate in pet therapy at The Grove, which resumed in May after a pandemic hiatus. During our weekly visits, my dog Rudy snd Marvin developed a special bond. Marvin was such a nice man.

We are greatly saddened at the loss of such a gentle and kind hearted man.
Always at the service of his community with years of distinction as a member of St. John Ambulance and all round 'Great Neighbor'.
The shear numbers of people he brought aid to when they needed it the most !!
God has a special place for people like Marvin !!!

I remember spending a summer at your place while Aunt Ada was on a summer course. I learned about gardening and farming as I hung out with Cathy Cheryl and Glenn! I know you will be missed - RIP Uncle Marvin.

To all the Needham family. So very sorry to hear of Marvin’s passing. I worked along side of him in my youth in the bush and on the farm. He and Ada were outstanding neighbours to have and great friends with Mom and Dad. He leaves behind many stories and wonderful memories. Howard and Brenda Smith

Dear Glenn, Cathy and Cheryl… I am thinking of all of you as I remember your dad and his contagious smile. He was always so kind and welcoming and I recall as kids his teasing sense of humour that would make us laugh. I feel blessed for that first invite to your home Cheryl as it opened up the door to your entire family and becoming dear friends of both you and Cathy. Thank you. As with that invite came the opportunity to know your dad. I will always remember your dad as a very hard worker, his thoughtfulness, kindheartedness…and of course his nickname for me…LOL! He would always make me laugh. He has lived a full life and with so many years without your mom. They are now together and I’m sure arm in arm or however, that works on the other side. As hard as this time is, you are blessed with many wonderful memories to cherish and hold onto. Focus on those and know your dad is at peace and I sense he was smiling to the very end. Sending you love and strength. Your dear friend always.. ~Sylvia
