Margie was a regular at the Nick Smith Centre pool where she swam daily. I’ll remember her kind and gentle smile and our many conversations during her visits. It was clear from those talks that her family was the centre of her world. Sending my deepest condolences for your loss of this lovely lady.

Dear Tissot Families. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your beloved Marjorie. I had the pleasure of meeting Marjorie at Island View when Mom and Dad Stewart moved there four years ago. Marjorie was always very pleasant and seemed genuinely happy as she always had a smile and said hello when she saw me. Our mother, Anne, very much enjoyed Marjorie's company at the dining table- mom has told us many times about "sharing a good laugh with Marjorie. She's a good soul." I know mom will miss her friend. Rest in Peace Marjorie.

I can’t find or even hope to find words to say how special Marge was and how much she meant to me, but I’ll try. First, I have to say that she and Dick (her husband’s nickname) were definitely “a team”, and Dick was a “character”, to say the least. Even though I was probably half their age, we came to be very close friends and shared countless good times over the years. We started off with only small cottages (cabins) on our beloved White Lake, where getting there only by boat or snowmobile, relying on kerosene lamps, woodstoves and propane fridges, all served to make things that much more exciting and fun. In addition, we had some great times travelling and visiting our American cottage neighbours at their homes in Pennsylvania.
Marge, or “Mawzy” as Dick used to call her, could be just as excited and giddy about the escapades we went through, but there was always a sense of focus or wisdom that she kept in reserve for just the right time. You see, she and Dick were true and trusted friends over the years; but for many of those years I was still “growing up”, and Marge was often, in some special or unique way, like a second mom to me.
So Mawzy - I say “thanks” . You have been a blessing to me and to so many. May God now bless you on your journey.
Theo, Lynn, Sandy & families - May you joyfully move on to celebrate the life of this special lady.

I am sorry for your loss. Marjorie was a kind and warm woman with those sparkling eyes. She was smart, kind and young for her years. She was well liked by all and if she didn't like someone, they probably deserved it. Her memories will live on.
