Obituary of Harold Higginson

June 22, 1928 – December 13, 2021 (Retired - EBI Technician and Farmer) With heavy hearts, the family of Harold Gilmore Higginson of Arnprior, Ontario, announce his peaceful passing at the age of 93 at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 13, 2021. Harold is reunited with his beloved wife Margaret (nee Ziebarth) (January 29, 2019). Dearly loved father of Delwood (Elizabeth), Dale (Carol), Marilyn Sardo (Chuck), and Sheldon (Imelda Jane). Loving grandfather of Scott (Karen), James (Cassandra), Steven, David (Melissa), Jennifer Higginson-Periard (Terry), Tannis Gilbert (Shea), and Brennan (Jackie). Cherished great-grandfather of Mack, Kayleigh, Aleeyiah, Carley, Kinsley, and Jaxson. Son of the late Nelson and Ethel (Ross) Higginson and predeceased by brother Kenneth Higginson (late Elizabeth). Harold will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, longtime friends, and neighbours. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital who provided such kind and compassionate care of Harold over the last two months. Harold’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where open visitations will be held Friday December 17, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday December 18, 2021 at the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In memory of Harold, a donation may be made to the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior or to St. John’s Anglican Church, Antrim. A limited number of guests are allowed at the church service.
