(nee Ogden) July 30, 1936-March 10, 2021 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gladys Joy Hill announce her peaceful passing at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Wednesday March 10, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of 65 years to Richard “Dick” McDevitt Hill. Proud and loving mother of Robert Hill (Lauri) of Whitehorse, Patricia Hill (Brian Ogilvie) and Douglas Hill (Rachel), both of Arnprior. Extraordinary grandmother of Jeffrey Furniss (Melanie), Taryn Hill (late Mike), Richard, Zoé and Celeste and great-grandmother of Mehkayla, Marcus, Darby and Harlyn. Survived by brother Jim Ogden (Hilda), sister-in-law Lillian Ogden (late Don), both of Renfrew, sister-in-law Beverly Hill of Sault Ste. Marie and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Lottie (Thibadieau), her many brothers and sisters, infant twins, grandson Christopher and great-grandchildren Mehkai, Evelyn and Parker. Gladys’ zest for life will be missed by her family and many friends made through her involvement in activities such as Aquafit, cross-country skiing, bowling, bridge-playing, walking and reading. Gladys’ arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday March 15, 2021 in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. and will be webcast live for extended family and friends. Spring interment Castleford Union Cemetery. In memoriam donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society.
