Robert Wayne Needham

July 5, 1945-July 15, 2018

Passed away peacefully Sunday July 15, 2018 at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 73. Wayne of White Lake, predeceased by his mother Effie Fraser (Needham) (nee Delahunt) and his father Robert Needham. Also predeceased by step-father Kenny Fraser. Survived by his sister Gail (John) of Pakenham. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy. Dear uncle of Judy (Mike), Colin (Tracy), James (Krista), Janet and Mark. He will be greatly missed by his great nieces Tara, Julie, Brooke and nephew Harley as well as Mason and Hunter. Wayne will also be missed by his friends in the White Lake area; notably his musical group, the White Lake General Store “Front Porch Coffee Gang” as well as fishermen and outdoorsmen from the whole of the lakeshore. He started working as a young man in the mines in Sudbury and quickly found out it wasn't going to work out. He went on to work for Ontario Hydro in their Nanticoke and Mountain Chute warehouses, He then decided to try his hand at sales working at Reid Bros, and Mack MacKenzie Motors. He was known for his trailer sales in White Lake and recently for snowplowing and keeping the White Lake General Store plowed out no matter how high the pile. He had a genuine love of people, music, nature and animals and always had “Peanut Butter on Toast” for his black and white canine friend “Perky” and will be forever loved by his feline friend “Midnight”. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Arnprior Hospital for the excellent, compassionate care . Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Visitations Thursday July 19, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Friday. Funeral Service will be conducted Friday July 20, 2018 at the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Pakenham. In memory of Wayne, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
