Gail and family,
So sorry to hear that Wayne passed away but knowing he is no longer suffering is a blessing. We will miss seeing his little red truck go by, sometimes several times a day. He will be looking down upon his beloved village and playing a tune for all to enjoy.

Gail and John. Was saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. I only heard he had been diagnosed with this “UGLY DISEASE”. It just seemingly cannot miss a family any more. Wayne was great singer. Heard him at Waba church potluck luncheon service two years ago.
My sincere sympathy.

I met Wayne when I and my two sons moved into the former Fraser/Jones' house on McLachlan in 2002. I wasn't quite sure of this man who drove down my laneway to say hi. In those early years, he ploughed my laneway and helped to clear brush, etc. But as time went on, I got to know the 'real' guy under that cap. Wayne became a friend. I enjoyed our weekly chats, and sharing pizza and the odd ice cream cone treat. I will miss my dear friend, but I know he is probably playing his guitar and serenading someone right now.

As you share, talk, and remember,
May you truly find
That the one you loved so much
Is still alive in your hearts.
After moving back to Waba to be with Mom, Wayne was a regular visitor, stopping in to chat with us every few weeks, always smiling, always laughing, always caring.
When Mom passed away, he continued to stop by when he saw me outside, to check up on me, to make sure I was "behaving".
Rest in peace, dear friend.
I will miss you.
With love,
Diane

I am very sad to learn of Wayne’s passing. He was a wonderful man who will be missed. He was always so caring and kind and I will be forever grateful for all that he did. Wayne would always check in to make sure everything was good and if there was anything I ever needed he was happy to oblige. I am thankful for the great driveway cleaning in the winter and the great chats and visits in the veranda.
Rest In Peace Wayne.
