My condolences to the Charbonneau family.Remembering Art as a great supporter of the public schools in Arnprior, firstly on the local board and for his years on the county board. He was a constant advocate for both parents and staff as he made many trips to meetings to ensure the youngsters had the best resources possible .I feel fortunate in having met and worked with this gentleman for a number of years.

Charbonneau Family,
I am a friend and neighbor of Margaret and came to know what a wonderful man Mr. Charbonneau was through all the tales that Margaret would bring home after her many visits to Canada. I feel as though I knew him well over the years because I enjoyed sharing all the wonderful news Margaret would always bring home with her. I can well imagine how greatly his presence will be missed by his family and friends but I also know that there are endless memories that will sustain you all into the future. For all who knew him how very fortunate you are because he was so worth knowing. God bless you all.

I am sorry for your loss of Art. We have so many cherished memories of a man who gave so much. My memories include Boxing Day family gatherings on Craig Street with the whole family. Uncle Art always had a few jokes for me. I got to taste his delicious Chokecherry Wine sitting on the piano bench. While visiting the cottage on the Madawaska River Uncle Art was always busy with a hammer in his hand creating a stunningly beautiful cottage. His talents were endless and he gave it all to everyone he met. Rest in Peace Uncle Art.
Sincerely with Love,
Debbie

While I was minister of Grace-St.Andrews United Church in the 1960s Art was an incredible Chair of the Church's building Committee and headed up an impressive renovation of the church. He was a delight to work with, an affable detailed leader and a hardworking inspiration to the whole committee.
For Art I hold unlimited respect and admiration. He was a true giant among men; one of a kind.
Rest in PEACE old friend

I recently had the honour of meeting Mr.Charbonneau in celebration of his 75th Wedding Anniversary! We had a wonderful visit, sharing stories of a common interest, education! We both served as Chair at Renfrew County District School Board. Arthur made a huge contribution to our education system in our County, and as a result, one of our schools is named in his honour. His legacy will be something that lives on for many generations to come!
My sympathies to the entire family during this difficult time.
