Obituary of Brent Royden Scheel

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Royden Scheel of Arnprior at the age of 77 years, just 2 days before his 78th birthday.  Beloved husband of Mary (nee Otterson).  Loving father of Murray (Brian), Angie O’Neill (Ryan), Jennifer Muldoon (Ryan) and Pam (Alex).  His grandchildren Taylor, Davis and Ryden, Ronin, Edey and Wyatt and Corrigan and Marshall were his pride and joy.  Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.   Predeceased by brother Donald and sister-in-law Theresa Fortier.  Son of the late Melville and Mabel (nee Flegal) Scheel.  Brent enjoyed spending time with family and friends and happily fishing at the cottage at Lake Clear.  Being a sports lover, he was involved in community hockey and baseball and was known for always cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Ottawa Senators. Brent will be missed by his family and friends and will always be remembered for his genuine kindness and warm smile.  Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.  Visitation will be held Monday June 4, 2018 between the hours of 11-1:45 p.m.  Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the Boyce Chapel at 2:00 p.m.  In memory of Brent, please consider a donation to Ottawa Hospital Prostate Cancer Research or Ottawa Hospital Respiratory Unit.
