So yesterday was the day we as a family said our final goodbye to our father, Brent Scheel.
The difficult time of his final days behind us where we stood as a family along his his hospital bed watching him leave this world and preparing himself to finally go home because that is all he wanted was to go home.
I found myself asking why him such a kind man a good man, why ? Even google( if you know me I google everything ) had no answers this and something I may never know. However I do know now that through this I learned something what my dad inherently knew was to cherish life, Love those around him and be greatful and kind to all that cross his path even a simple smile can touch so many.
We as a family brought my father to Lake Clear to place his urn in the lake so he could be at rest in his most favourite place. He is now a home with the backdrop of Mt Foymount his mothers birthplace behind him our cottage out front so he in someway can always watch over his love ones at play a rest in the truly most beautiful place I know.
With many thanks and appreciation to all that reached out to us with their condolences and kind words I’d like to leave this post by sharing what our dad often said “ Slow down, take your time and look around”
Thank you

Brent Scheel was a long time friend of mine since we went to same day classes for the deaf and hard of hearing in Ottawa in addition as Arnprior hometown old buddies. He was a wonderful and gentle man to be with and loves to shake hands with huge smiles! He is well liked among the Arnprior community for his unselfish contribution both in his work and in his love of sports during his younger days. For that I have always admired him with interests of his past. During the last 28 years living in Arnprior before we recently moved to Stirling last December, we always meet up with Tim Horton Coffee on Daniel Street because I was still working until January 12, 2017. Summertime at his cottage on Clear Lake is one of most memorable events we will cherish forever in our minds.
Brent, my old friend, you loved your family, grandchildren and many friends and you are tired and weary but now you are in the Hands of God in Heaven. We shall meet again. Amen!
