Norma Esther Dixon
(Latham, Wintonick)
October 21, 1926 to December 28, 2017
Norma passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on Dec. 28, 2017, with loving family by her side. Darling wife of the late John Wintonick and the late Douglas C. Dixon. Beloved mother of Suzanne (Wintonick) Olsheskie (Barry), and the late Peter K. Wintonick (Christine). Norma was a proud grandmother of Jason (Karen), James (Shannon), Mira, Erin and Matthew. Very loving great-granny of Aneka, Ethan, Izaia, Emma and Evan. Dear sister of Ronald A.Latham and the late Valerie Anne (Latham) Von Boetticher. She was a favourite aunt of many nieces and nephews. Norma was a very talented tap-dancer, pianist, artist, poet, writer and photographer. She was a proud recipient of many awards during her lifetime. Norma was the Ottawa Citizen's "Jumble" queen! She enjoyed many sports (basketball, skating, skiing and golfing) and always lived life to the fullest. A very generous soul, Norma always helped others in her community. She remained very upbeat and always had a smile on her face along with a story to share. The family thanks the doctors and nurses at the Arnprior Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends and family are invited to the Boyce Funeral Home, 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior Wednesday Jan. 3, 2018 from 2 - 5 pm and 7 - 9 pm for visitation. The funeral service will be held on Thursday Jan. 4, 2018 at 11 am at Bethel-St. Andrew's United Church, Fitzroy Harbour. For those wishing, donations to Bethel-St. Andrew's United Church or to a charity of choice in memory of Norma would be appreciated.
