Obituary of Clayton Royce

ROYCE, Clayton Lilburn

July 11, 1960 – December 21, 2024

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Clayton, beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, at the Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, at the age of 64. Clayton, loving husband and best friend of 33 years of Marita (nee Heffernan) and proud dad of Thomas and Elizabeth. Clayton was predeceased by his cherished mother Barbara Royce and sister Bernice Brown (Ted). He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Karen Melanson (the late Bob), Sharon Lamandeau (Bob), Brenda Mondor (Fern) and Kim Sleeman (the late David), his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Heffernan (Marg), Anne Driscoll (Dennis), Mary Van Laren (Richard) and Raymond Heffernan (Doris), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Clayton was very passionate and enjoyed many different activities throughout his life including snowmobiling, wood working, getting away at the hunting camp, and being proud of his Ottawa Valley heritage including cheering on his beloved Ottawa Senators and Red Blacks. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at Providence Care Hospital Heritage 2 for their love and respect it will never be forgotten. In keeping with Clayton’s wishes cremation has taken place, burial will be held in the spring in White Lake, Ontario. For those who wish donations in Clayton’s memory may be made to CHEO or to the Salvation Army, Kingston Citadel.
