Obituary of Margaret Schlievert

 October 31, 1932 – October 16, 2024

It is with profound sorrow, yet immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we share the news of Margaret Ethel Schlievert's peaceful passing on Wednesday evening, October 16, 2024, at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She left this world at the vibrant age of 91. Margaret, daughter of the late Frank and Pearl (Gutzman) Schlievert, embraced life with an infectious energy. Though she had no children of her own, her heart overflowed with love for her extended family. She was cherished by niece Christine Leavoy (Robert), was the beloved aunt of Colleen Schlievert (Richard Giroux), Frances Brown (Shawn) and Gary Fleming and was a beloved figure to many great-nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her brother Roy Schlievert (Andriend), sister Helen Watters (Peter) and nephews Brian Watters, Scott Watters and Glen Schlievert. Margaret was an absolute treasure of joy and enthusiasm, whose love for life was as vibrant as her cheer for the Toronto Blue Jays during a home run. Her eyes would light up with the same sparkle she had as a young girl whenever she talked about the Royal Family, blending her old-world charm with a modern zest for life. Margaret wasn't just a fan or an observer; she was a participant in the joy of living. Her memory will forever warm our hearts. Special thank you to Groves Park Lodge and the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care. Margaret’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior where visitation will be held Monday October 21, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of funeral service in the Boyce Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. Memorial donations to any charity close to your heart would be a fitting tribute to Margaret's giving spirit.
