Edwin (Ed) Stewart

April 1, 1937 – July 25, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Edwin (Ed) Stewart, a cherished resident of White Lake, Ontario, at Caressant Care in Cobden on the evening of July 25, 2024, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Fern Stewart (nee McNab), who passed away on January 21, 2022.

Eddie was a devoted father to his daughters, Shelley Robertson (1996) and Sherrey Krahn (2015) (Derek), and a much-loved grandfather to Meagan (Jason) and Amanda. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Ava and Everett. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Roxy Watt (Terry) and Gail Gillies (Doug), his brother-in-law, Mac McNab (Donna) and Berna Barrie (late Lornie) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Melvin (Wilma) and sister Boneta Box (Carl). Son of the late Peter and Greta Stewart. Special thanks to his niece Sheila, whose dedicated and compassionate care for Ed provided immense comfort and support.

Known for his many years as a truck driver, Ed was a friendly, familiar face in our community, always ready with a wave and a smile. His hearty laugh and readiness to lend a hand will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and on Thursday morning after 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boyce Chapel, followed by a reception at the Boyce Reception Centre. Eddie will be laid to rest at White Lake Community Cemetery, where he will forever be surrounded by the community he loved so dearly.
