Obituary of Sheila Dolan

Sheila Fay Dolan (nee Miriguay)
June 5, 1947 – July 18, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheila Fay Dolan on July 18, 2024, at the age of 77, at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa.

Beloved wife of 50 years to George Dolan. Sheila is now reunited with her infant son Ross. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Marilyn, Keith, and Terry, and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Sheila is predeceased by her sisters Joan, Gloria, Janice, and brothers Maurice and Bryan. She was the cherished daughter of the late Marius and Gladys (Miron) Miriguay.

A lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, West Carleton Branch #616, Sheila dedicated much of her time and energy to supporting veterans and their families. Her commitment to the Legion was unwavering, and she was well-known for her active participation in numerous events and activities. Sheila's sense of community and her generous spirit made her a beloved figure among her fellow Legion members.  After retiring, Sheila found immense joy in travelling and enjoyed her annual trips to Alabama, a cherished tradition she shared with her sister and George.

Sheila’s arrangements have been entrusted to Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A Celebration of Sheila’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, West Carleton Branch, 377 Allbirch Rd, Woodlawn, on Saturday August 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Interment St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Woodlawn.
