My deepest condolences to Bert, Janey, Nancy and their families. Geneva was my second oldest sister in a family of 8 children. My earliest memories are of spending time with her and Murvin for a week or two of summer vacation. Most likely from the age of 3 to 6 years. Watching her sew clothes influenced my creativity and sewing ability.
When Bert was born I lost my summer vacations and then later in life I was able to connect with her through her children.
As her health failed over the past 10 years our visits became less frequent due to her illness and not recognizing me. However I was gifted the privilege of being by her bedside during her last few days. No words needed to be said just warm heartfelt hugs and tears and words of love and affection.
Miss you Jenny, love Deb

Schruds, Toby and the family, my heart smiles at the numerous stories you've shared of our German WonderWoman - from enjoying Tim's maple donuts and sweets, to singing at Starwood and hearing about the sheer mental and physical strength she had during these last years. I am hoping the loving and fond memories you have of your mother and your consistent presence in her life comfort you during this time, and the times ahead. <3 Rootbeer

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to Nancy and Toby along with Janey and family and Bert. My fondest memory of Geneva was when she would call our house in Stoney Creek to make sure that Nancy, Rob and Toby arrived safe and sound for their visits. I had some really nice conversations with her before her health declined. She was a lovely lady and always had a kind word for everyone. She will be missed. Big hugs and love to you all. Rest in peace Geneva.
