Mr Al, as he was affectionately known in our home, was a one of a kind neighbour and friend. He was like a Dad to us and a Grandpa to the boys -always lending a helping hand or stopping for a cheerful chat! We are very saddened by his passing and will remember him fondly in years to come. Our sincerest condolences to Phil, Bob, Jim, Dan and Kerry and Families!
Sincerely, Dan, Karen, Matt and Mitch

Al was one of my Sgts from 70-75 in the Diefenbunker. He was a great technician, Sgt and mentor. He could also be quite the jokester. I have many great memories of Al. To his family, you had the privilege of having Al in your lives, may he rest in peace.
Charles MacDonald.

My condolences to the Perfitt family on Al’s passing. Al was always so gracious with his time and would take my Mother, Margaret Barber, her sister Liala Gilchrist and her brother John Piasetzki out on his pontoon boat to enjoy the day on the Ottawa River. It was always a great day and lots of memories for them . Rest in peace Al .

My deepest sympathies to Al’s family. A true joy to know and work with at Boeing. As a former IAM 1542 member and Union Steward, Al was always there to lend a hand of pass on some sage advice to our Union brothers and sisters. A wonderful gentleman, with a great sense of humor . May he rest in peace.

I(Garry) am saddened to hear of Al's passing. He and I served together in the Carp Bunker for several years. Even though senior in rank to me at the time he always had time to talk and give me sound advice sometimes talking about him being Air Force and I being in the Army LOL. I had not seen him for a few years but always fond memories came to mind. Donna and I send our Deepest Sympathy to the Perfitt family and friends. Per ardua ad astra (Through adversity to the stars)
Respectfully,
Garry and Donna Dowd

Dear family of Al Perfitt,
Sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Al for many years at Boeing. I enjoyed his company and his humorous side, even though he bombarded my computer with hundreds of emails. They were worth a laugh. We served in the Air Force at the same time for the same number of years but never crossed paths. He was always jovial and in a good mood, which I appreciated very much while working with him. Al will be missed, greatly.
sincerely,
Doug Irwin

There are no words that can possibly describe the beautiful man Al was. A friend to EVERYONE . He made an impression on all people he met , young and old. My family respected and loved him very much. They would call just to chat with Al.
Such great times we had on the boat, playing euchre with friends, coffee times down town, the movies, going to Sens games, Curling championships, a few trips to U.S. just to see the country.
He loved living on the water as did l. Loved his boat
His love of family was indisputable. Cared deeply for everyone of you.
In the neighborhood he was known to all the youth as Mr Al, they so respected him .The man could fix anything and did so for everyone.
Precious memories l have & how he loved wee Zoey and she him. My prayers and love to all the family and thank you for your kindness to me. Rest well Al, you made my life better and l dearly loved you as you knew, my best friend. Thank you for every laugh till we'd cry, for every joke, for being unapologetically Al. "I am Not wearing a shirt in the house". He made us all laugh. RIP wonderful loving man. Linda & Zoey and all the Slater family xo

I'm sorry to learn that Albert has passed away yesterday. My condolences to his family and friends and GOD Bless.
My thoughts & prayers will be with you during this difficult period.
As a resident of the Aspira Island View Retirement residence for over 2 1/2 years, I met Al and we became friends.
I found that Al was a very humble and caring person. He loved his family and friends. He was also an extrovert and liked to be around people. He will be missed by his friends at the Island View.
Attached you will find two photos of Albert.
