It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Albert "Chuck" Goddard at Hospice Renfrew on Thursday, January 25, 2024 surrounded by family. He was 80. Beloved husband of Audrey Goddard (Brohart) for 49 years and cherished father of Steven Goddard (Sheila) of N.W.T. and John Goddard (Remi) of Edmonton. Predeceased by daughter, Krista Goddard (David Ford of Derbyshire, England). Adored grandfather of Una, Faith, and Katherine. Survived by dear brother, Lorne (Nancy) of Red Deer, AB and predeceased by sister, Edith (late Vince). Born in Gimli, Manitoba, he was the son of the late Albert and Charlotte (Greene) Goddard. Throughout his career, Chuck mostly drove trucks, primarily as a Highway Coach Driver for Carleton Bus Lines and was well known for delivering soil for "Mr. Dirt”. Chuck will also be remembered for his love of fishing, friendly personality and warm smile. The family expresses gratitude to the dedicated staff at Hospice Renfrew for providing Chuck with peace in his final days, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Chuck's private arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to Hospice Renfrew in memory of Chuck.
