It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bob Wilkinson, a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather. Bob departed from this world at the Renfrew Hospice on Christmas Eve 2023 with his wife and best friend of 26 years, Francine, by his side. He was 77 years old. Bob will forever be remembered by his two sons Charles (Mary-Ann) and David (Jannik) and his two step-sons Alain Godbout (Lynne) and Marco Godbout (Jennifer). He was a cherished grandfather to his eight grandchildren Alexander, Jaden, Gabriel, Xavier, Michaëlle, Coralie, Bianca and Thierry. He also leaves his brothers and sisters Ted (Monique), John (Cheryl), Michael (predeceased), Joy (Paul), Kevin (predeceased), Neil (Brian) and Gay (Karen) and his brothers and sisters-in-law Jean-Guy (Liette), Bernard (Suzanne), Normand (Johanne) and Lise (Gilles). He will  also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Bob had a successful career in computer science. He spent thirty years in technology with the Federal Public Service and owned his own business for a few years. He really enjoyed playing his computer strategy games and was known for 'killing aliens'. Bob was a resident of the Glenalee Retirement Community in White Lake and loved the company of family, friends and neighbours. He will be missed for his great smile and quick wit. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Renfrew for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Bob's final days. As per Bob's request, there won't be any funeral service. Bob enjoyed the visit of all his siblings, in-laws and friends (during his illness) (throughout the past year) and was able to say his goodbyes. A private inurnment will take place in the spring at the Ottawa Beechwood Cemetery. In memory of Bob, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice Renfrew.
