Obituary of Terence "Terry" Fitzpatrick

Terence Maurice “Terry” Fitzpatrick

May 18, 1952 - December 10, 2023

(Ontario Power Generation)

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of Terry Fitzpatrick's passing at the age of 71 in the early hours of Sunday, December 10, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home. Terry leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved wife of 43 years, Inez Fitzpatrick (nee Utley), and the joy of his life, his two daughters, Courtney Fitzpatrick (Linden Leung) and Casey Fitzpatrick (Nathan Duxbury). He was the proudest Papa to Noah, Joshua, and Ava, who he adored more than anything. Terry was loved and supported throughout his life by his parents, the late Maurice and Loretta Fitzpatrick (Kelly) originally of Allumette Island and especially during his battle with cancer by his siblings, Barry (Debbie), Debbie (Gary), Jerry (Sylvia), and Karen (Jim). He will also be missed by his many brothers and sisters in law of the Utley family and by his many nieces and nephews. Terry’s passion was movement - rugby in his youth, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling in winter, hiking, kayaking cycling, swimming and yoga in the summer- always ready for a new adventure. Terry loved the outdoors and cottage life. Terry was a certified boilermaker and a millwright and spent most of his working career at Ontario Power Generation, both Bruce Nuclear and Nanticoke Generating Station. His family will remember his intense dedication to us, his great sense of humour, his corny wit, his deep love of music and the fun times. Terry's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Greens at Renton, 969 Conc. 14 Townsend, Simcoe, ON N3Y 4K3. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and sharing stories of Terry. The family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Terry to Operation Come Home or to the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority which reflect his interest in assisting youth in our community and his love of the outdoors.

Terry's arrangments have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.
