Obituary of Roberta "Bobbie" Stevenson

(nee Walton) Roberta Vivian “Bobbie” Stevenson (nee Walton), formerly of Kinburn, loving wife of the late Elmor Stevenson, passed away at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior, at the age of 92 years. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Dear mother to Shirley Anne Simpson (Wayne), Huntsville, Kathy Jayne Lyons (Murray), Surrey BC, and Robert James “Jim” Stevenson (Sharon), Kanata. Nana to Andrew, Luke, Scott (Alyssa), and Jessica (Brandon Kroeker). Great Nana to Oliver. Predeceased by brother Thomas Sword (late Rita), Vernon, Frederick and William Walton, sisters Helen Graves (late Tom), Hazel Deans (late George), Jean Moorhead (late Athol), Agnes Sword, and Lillian Dobson (late Ron). Survived by many loved nieces and nephews. Born in Ottawa, Roberta moved to Arnprior before meeting the love of her life and future husband Elmor. After marrying in 1949 they lived happily on the 9th line Stevenson farm, just outside the village of Kinburn for close to 50 years. In their retirement, Roberta and Elmor moved into the village of Kinburn and after Elmor’s passing, Roberta then moved to Campbell Court in Arnprior. Throughout her life Roberta was an active member in her community and church, leading Bible studies and singing in the choir. All who knew Roberta are welcome to attend a Celebration of her life to be held Saturday March 11, 2023 at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 116 Baskin Drive, Arnprior at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Private Family Interment will have already taken place at Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn. The service will be Webcast Live and can be found to the left of this page under the donations tab.
