Obituary of Stephen Tomalty

Stephen Blair Tomalty August 4, 1968 – January 6, 2023 With a deep sense of loss, we announce that Stephen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Friday, January 6 after a short battle with ALS. He was 54. Stephen is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy, and his son Jackson. He was the favourite older brother of Katrina Tomalty (Roy) and uncle of her son, Caleb; nephew of Joan Barriere (John) and Melvin Tomalty (Sandy); he was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Tomalty and mother, Gail Grail. He was the son-in-law of Bonnie Corkan and Wilfrid Tremblay; brother-in-law of Lesley Innes (Scott) and uncle of their sons, Cody and Milo; brother-in-law of Todd Tremblay and uncle of his son, Mason. Stephen loved three things: first and foremost, his family; second his German Shepherds; and third, he had a need for speed - driving his Mustang, motorcycles, and Ski Doos - and he loved the friends that shared that passion with him. Stephen’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitations will be held Friday, January 13 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 14 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A Service will commence in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Stephen, donations may be made to the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs or the ALS Society. The service will be Live Webcast and can be found to the left of this page, For cellular devices, please use the drop-down arrow at the top of the page.
