We represent a circle of women who were in ministry in Alberta in the 80s and 90s. We gathered to celebrate special occasions, for support and for fun. Bev was part of this group. Although we have all moved to different places, we were still in touch with Bev. Her
death has affected us deeply.
We remember Bev well. She served a number of United Church congregations in Alberta: Buchanan-Eastwood in Edmonton, Rimby and Vulcan before her retirement in Edmonton. In retirement Bev enjoyed Swiss Chalet, Tim's for coffee, and late nights.
When each of two close friends was dying, for many months she faithfully cared for them.
It is with fondness we say - go gently friend....

Deepest condolences to Bev’s family - I went to the High School of Commerce with Bev and I remember her so well. Over the years I have often thought of her and wondered if she achieved her goal of becoming a Minister. Thankfully she did as it was her niche as was a loving and caring lady. God has added another angel to his heavenly group and may she Rest In Peace.
Sincerely
Shirley Morrison

I was saddened to read of her passing. I am a retired United Church minister and live on St Joes Island. I drive people to medical appointments and Bev was one of my rides. Turns out we both worked in Alberta at the same time and knew many of the same people. She had a great sense of humour and a real concern for others. I looked forward to our trips. My thoughts with the family. Rev. Glen Eagle

Our condolences to Bev’s family. Our PSW organization had the privilege of providing assistance to Bev so that she could continue to live independently in her chosen home. She was resilient, quietly determined, and always so grateful for the kindness of others. Jenny PSW felt privileged to know her and to discover the joy that Bev had in her years at All Tribes and with her great friend Millie.

Aunt Bev,
Although our physical distance kept us from being in touch frequently, we always felt that your Christmas letter year in review kept us part of your yearly journey. Your love of pea soup (small cans) sure gave Doug and I some giggles while shipping these off to you one Christmas after finding these rare things in Toronto. We always felt when seeing you that it was just yesterday we spoke and met. We were shocked and saddened by the news of your passing on New Year’s day. We will miss hearing from your little adventures and we will forever hold you in our hearts. Love Doug, Rach and the girls xxxx

Bev was a wonderful friend and caregiver to our aunt Millie Jacobs Troyer! It was fun to listen to them talk of their traveling and camping adventures. Millie would have been in a care facility her later years without Bev's great care, and Millie was very thankful for that. Bev will be missed and I am sad that we will not be able to visit with her this summer at Millie's memorial service on the Island.

Bev deserves true recognition and thanks for the amazing care she took of Millie Jacobs Troyer for so many years and over many adventures. Marney and I witnessed this firsthand many times, and while I know they were tremendous friends, her practical help and service was such a blessing to Millie and to us. We will miss you Bev and your sweet spirit! Jonathan and Marney Stewart
