Obituary of Bonnie B. Bews

Bonnie Barbara Bews (nee McLean) May 3, 1943 – December 1st, 2022 (Beloved Teacher and Guidance Counsellor- Arnprior District High School) It is with profound sadness that Bonnie’s family announces that she passed away unexpectedly and peacefully surrounded by the love of family at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday December 1st, 2022. Bonnie B. Bews of Arnprior, Ontario at the age of 79. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 56 years, A. Graeme Bews; children Richard of Ottawa, Kayla (Alain Audet) of Arnprior and Kristin Emmell (Evan) of Prescott. Cherished Grandma of Gwen and Grant. Dear sister of Arthur McLean (Pat) of Arnprior, Ross McLean (Nancy) of Westport, Merilee Charbonneau (late Paul) of Arnprior, Gail McCann of Ottawa, Scott McLean (Susan) of Perth and Rubina Dick (late Ed) of Buckingham and sister-in-law of Richard Campbell Bews (Elke) of Midland. Daughter of the late Allan A. and Martha (Roper) McLean. Bonnie will be missed immensely by numerous nieces and nephews, a wide circle of friends and by her community for her unending support and genuine warmth and interest in others. A woman full of grace and class, she never wavered when it came to helping others fulfill their dreams and aspirations. It will be hard to imagine everyday life without Bonnie by our side. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and the countless lives she touched, too many to mention. Bonnie had many associations and gave her time and talents generously to such associations as Family Focus, Meals on Wheels, Red Hat Society, Bridge Club and various book clubs. Bonnie’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitations will be held Monday evening, December 5, 2022 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday December 6, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life Service will commence in the Boyce Chapel at 12:15 p.m. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. In memory of Bonnie, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
