Obituary of Norman Gauvreau

Norman Rene Joseph Gauvreau July 7, 1942 - September, 14 2022 With sadness the family announces that Norman passed away peacefully at his apartment in Arnprior, Wednesday September 14, 2022 at the age of 80 years. Survived by his partner and friend Carol Ann. Beloved father of Karen, Andrea and Melany (John). Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Alyssa, Rebecca, Justin, Braeden, Noah, John Paul, Josiah, Micah, Sabrina and great-grandfather of Elijah and Brooklynn. Dear brother of Lucille, Donald, Theresa, Fern (Edith), Robert (Shirley), Bernadette (Phil), Roger (Wendy) and Ranny. Remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Rene and Emilia Gauvreau, son Anthony James, brothers Marcel, Gerald, Denis, Ronald and sisters Carmen and Collette. Norman was long-time employee and friend of M. Sullivan and Sons Limited and was proud to decorate the Family Christmas Tree every year. He loved his family, hunting and fishing and Elvis Presley. For over 35 years he called 71 Sullivan Crescent his home and kept watch over the parking lot through his second-floor window. His passion for the great outdoors was evident having spent time fishing in Calabogie and at the hunt camp in Temagami. He was a good friend and neighbour to many. Norman’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Private family services have taken place. In memory of Norman, a donation may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Suicide Prevention or the Canadian Cancer Society.
