William R. “Bill” Lennox May 7, 1938 - July 25, 2022 It is with sadness we announce that William (Bill) Lennox passed away peacefully at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew, Monday July 25, 2022. William “Bill” Lennox of Arnprior at the age of 84. Son of the late Frank and Clara (Ward) Lennox of Barrie, Ontario. Cherished husband of the late Elizabeth “Beth” Flegal of Arnprior for 61 years. Loving father of Janice Zimmerman (Jim) of Belleville, Jeff (Alison Grainge), Jennifer Jack (Jamie), Judy Nicholson (Kevin) and James (Colleen Johnston) all of Arnprior and Castleford. Proud Grampa of 12 grandchildren; Amanda, Ryan, Andrew, Ashley, Mitchell, Sarah, Jacob, Sarah-Kate, Emily, Abby, Jorja and Alice and 8 great-grandchildren; Chase, Cayden, Audrey, Lyall, Chole, Grace, Alexandra and Dominic. Bill will be missed by his sisters Laura McNabb (late Allan), Jennifer Roberts (Gord), brother Lynn (Cathy) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Pat (Orv) Elliott and brothers Larry (survived by Janet) and Greg. Bill started his career as an electrical apprentice at Saunders Dam in Cornwall with Ontario Hydro. He then worked on various dams up the Ottawa River, where he met Beth. He went on to work at Union Carbide/BASF for 26 years. He was known as Mr. Trouble Shooter, as he could solve any problem. He was a highly respected Electrician and a great mentor to all who knew him. The family would like to thank the kind staff at Groves Park Lodge for their care and compassion. Bill’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where open visitations will be held Monday August 1, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and again Tuesday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment for both Bill and Beth to follow at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. For those who would like to make a donation, please consider Groves Park Lodge or the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
