(Life-Long Fitzroy Harbour Dairy Farmer) With great sadness the family announces that John James “Jim” Hunt of Fitzroy Harbour passed away at home, suddenly but peacefully with family at his side on Friday morning March 18, 2022. He was 83. Predeceased by his beloved wife Kathy (nee Coe) (2006). He will be dearly missed by son Jeffrey (Sarah); daughter Eleanor (Pat) and grandsons, Mason, Cory and Bobby. Dear brother of Jean Hunt (Denis Germain) of Como, Quebec. Brother-in-law of Lois Nicholls (Don) of Kemptville. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Evelyn (Hodgson) Hunt and brothers Charles (late Cairine) and Robert (late Jean). A special thank you to Jim’s care coordinator Colleen Humphry and P.S.W. team Brianne, Emily and Kim for their excellent care which made it possible for Jim to stay at home. Jim devoted his life to Whitlock Farms working hard over the years and was a longtime member of St. George’s Anglican Church in Fitzroy Harbour. He will be missed by his community and many friends and colleagues throughout the area. Jim’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A graveside service will take place at St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour in the spring. In memory of Jim, a donation may be made to St. George's Anglican Church, Fitzroy Harbour or to Valley Animal Rescue.
