Obituary of Al Majaury

George Allan David “Al” Majaury September 12, 1938-February 6, 2022 Allan passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, Sunday February 6, 2022 at the age of 83. Devoted and loving husband of I. Lois Majaury (nee Peever) for 61 years. Dearly loved father of Steven Majaury (Sharon) of Montreal and the late Brenda Crowe (Colin), of Galetta. Proud grandfather of Matthew Crowe and Emma, Jake and Maggie Majaury. Al was the oldest son of the late David Ennis “Mike” Majaury and the late Beryl Amanda (Slater) Majaury. Dear brother of Barbara Stachera (Jan) and Robert Majaury (Barb), both of Arnprior and predeceased by infant siblings Michael and Joy. Dear brother-in-law to Gwen Perry (late Ken) of Lindsay, ON and Linda Wagenblass (late Gary) of Kinburn. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Al started out as a class A mechanic for twenty-five years but switched to his love of wood working and became the owner/operator of Al’s Pineshop for many years. He was an honest, hard-working man; a lover of country and gospel music; a person who earned the respect of all who knew him. Resting at the Boyce Funeral Home, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Friday February 11, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Boyce Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit, Institute for the Blind or Gideon Bibles would be appreciated by the family.
