Obituary of Robert "Bob" Bassenden

July 20, 1941-January 6, 2022 (Retired-Truck Driver) It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert “Bob” Bassenden announce his passing at the Cornwall Community Hospital with family by his side, Thursday January 6, 2022 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of almost 63 years to Ann (nee Kilpatrick). Proud father of, predeceased by son Ross, Gwen Stokes (Art) of Braeside, Kim Farrell (Mark) of Green Valley, Judy Williamson-Bassenden of Kemptville, and Peggy Desjardins (Paul) of Arnprior. Cherished grandfather of Lindsay (Jamie), Amanda (Kory), Dana (Peter), Sara, Laura (Kendrik), Dustin, Katrina (Shawn), Cassandra (Diana), Katie (Eric,) Lucas (Rachael) and greatgrandfather of Holly, Payton, Ben, Nathan, Nora, Everly, Rory, Aanya, Finn, William, Wyatt, Rachel and two on the way. Dear brother-in-law of Joyce Bassenden, George Kilpatrick (Yvonne) and Lynn Delorme. Predeceased by infant sister Shirley, brothers Earl, Allan, Arthur and sister Phyllis. Bob will be missed by many nieces and nephews and furry friend Maggie. A special thank you to his caregiver Natalie who truly helped brighten his life over the last 2 years. Robert’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.
