Obituary of Shirley Desjardins

(nee Cavanagh) April 28, 1937-January 11, 2022 With sadness we announce that Shirley passed away in the early hours of the morning, Tuesday January 11, 2022 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Shirley Elizabeth Desjardins of Arnprior at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Marcel Desjardins (1994). She will be loved always and greatly missed by her children Charlene Ross, Pauline Boulanger (René), Steven (Colleen), Marc, Paul (Peggy), all of Arnprior and Brian (Shelly) of Ottawa. Predeceased by daughter Debra. Cherished grandmother of Nicole Labelle (Ray), Michelle McGregor (Perry), Kelly Bell (Scott), Tenille Wallace (Jazz Pleau), Jennifer Boulanger, Angela Watson (Nathan), Amie Boulanger, Christopher Boulanger, Lindsay Lefave (Megan), Adam Desjardins, Sarah Desjardins (Dan Evans), Lucas Desjardins (Rachel) and Kaila Desjardins. Great-grandmother of Amos, Devon, Griffin, Stella, Gage, Blake, Brenden, Thomas, Morgan, Lillian, Evelyn, Anna, Charlotte, Xander, and Scarlett. Great-great grandmother of Lorelai and Acorn. Dear sister of Joan Stoddart (late Alec) of Almonte, Bev Wylie (Doug) of B.C. and Wayne Cavanagh (Judy) of Smiths Falls. Missed by many nieces and nephews, her Budgie Sunny and coffee friends at the Cupboard and Jim’s Restaurant. Daughter of the late Vernor and Lillian (Reid) Cavanagh. Shirley’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A Memorial Service will take place in April. In memory of Shirley, a donation may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
