Obituary of Martyn Brown

March 25, 1944 – November 25, 2021 (Retired-Gillies Brothers) Martyn Brown of Braeside died at Caressant Care in Cobden on Thursday November 25, 2021 at the age of 77. Husband of Edith Brown (nee Neilson) for 54 years. Father of Adam (Lisa Dolan) and Christine Oducado (Joseph). Grandfather of Owen and Gabriel Brown, and Cassian and Taten Oducado. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Helen (Barnet). Survived by his siblings Allyson Egan (Henry), Christopher (Stephanie), Theodore (Bernice), Catherine Levy (Brock Sine), Deborah Gravelle (Don), Fay, Stephen (Nancy), Scott (Judy), Alexandra Carnegie (Douglas), Jonathan (Jo Ann), Jeffrey (Robin), Douglas Jr. (Nancy) and Anthony (Susan). Also survived by brothers-in-law Bert Neilson and Barrie Neilson. Fondly remembered by Jasmine and Genevieve Oducado. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Clayton, Roy and Bill and sisters-in-law Mary and Loretta. Martyn spent his career selling lumber, primarily at Gillies Brothers / Consolidated Bathurst in Braeside. Martyn’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday December 1st, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Braeside at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. In memory of Martyn a donation may be made to Parkinson's Canada or to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation. A limited number of guests are allowed at the Funeral Mass. Facemasks/Coverings/Social Distancing Measures required at the Church and Funeral Home.
