Obituary of Naida Dean

August 27, 1923-November 24, 2021 (Retired-Federal Gov’t) It is with sadness that the family announce that Naida passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021. Naida Kathleen Dean (nee Merrifield) of Arnprior at the age of 98. Predeceased by beloved husband Eric William Dean, son Brian and infant son Robert. Loving mother of Richard Dean (Nancy) of Arnprior. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Eric Dean (Liz) and Katie Dean and great-grandchildren Morgan and Alexis. Survived by, sister-in-law Barb Corrigan (late Wayne), nephew Steve Dean (Rita) and nieces Dawna Monette (Ralph). Also predeceased by brother Craig Merrifield, stepsister Jean Wilke (Russ) and niece Sharon. Naida was born in Braeside, Ontario to her late parents Forrest and Annie Merrifield. The family wish to thank the staff at the Arnprior Villa and the Arnprior Hospital for their care and compassion. Naida’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A graveside service will be held at the Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery on Friday December 3, 2021 at 11:00 p.m. In memory of Naida, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or to the Grove Redevelopment Fund. Facemasks/Coverings/Social Distancing Measures required at the cemetery.
