George was such a wonderful man. I had known him for over 30 years and he watched my sister and I grow up and have families of our own. I will always remember his smile and friendly personality. He will be greatly missed.

I just saw this now..I am so very sorry to hear about George. I grew up knowing George. My family lived in his rental home from the time I was a toddler, then as an adult I moved into the other rental unit and remained there many more years. George was always su h a great guy!

My sincere condolences Bev, George was a great friend in high school & I have so many good memories. I do remember knocking him off his motorcycle soon after I had my license & he fixed the light himself and it only cost me $30. He was always happy & we enjoyed lots of lunch time laughs. Mac sends his condolences as well.

Condolences to Bev on the loss of your brother, and the extended Scobie clan on their loss of a cherished relative. As a kid, George was to me, the quiet one of the boys.

George Scobie loomed large in our Air Canada family and both my husband, Wendell White, and myself had the pleasure of working with George often. It was indeed always a treat. A very special person to so many of us. We'd like to extend our deepest sympathies.

Bev and Leslie, words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. We were best friends in our younger years, had a lot of good times. We kept in touch over the years and I was at his home in September 2019 while visiting Dartmouth/Halifax. We shared a lot of memories and had some good laughs. He will be missed but will live in your hearts and memories forever.

My sincere condolences to George’s family on your loss. Our family lived on Harrington Street across from the Scobies in the 1940s/50s and I always thought of “Georgie” as one of my earliest childhood friends. Born eight months apart we enjoyed exploring the early adventures of life at about the same time and pace and I have fond memories of those precious years. I hope the many happy memories of Georgie you must have, help you through this sad and difficult time.

Bev and Leslie and family just read this now at my camp. George was my best friend through high school days and for some time afterwards. We lost touch after his move to Nova Scotia but I thought of him often. We had a great group of friends then and George is the fourth of our gang to leave us. Most generous genuine guy I knew. Deeply saddened.
Our sincere condolences Barb and Walter Stack
