With sadness the family announces that David passed away Saturday evening, August 28, 2021 at home with his loving wife by his side. David Forrest of White Lake, Ontario at the age of 82. Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie Watson. Beloved father of Rick Forrest (late Chloe) of Scotch Bush and loving step-father of Robert Tripp (Natalie) of Orleans and Sarah Anne Tripp (Jean) of Navan. Loving grandfather of Ashley Raven (Jon), Clayton Forrest and Meadow Belanger. Great grandfather of Dylan and Lachlan Tripp. Dear brother of Edwin Forrest (Shirley), Ken Forrest (Eleanor), Joan Headrick (late Ross), Lewis Forrest (Heather), Sharon Roffey (Ken), Nancy Young (Ted) and Judy Caldwell (Mike). Brother-in-law of Carol Scott (Laurie), Barrie Watson (Faye) and Brian Watson (Katie). David will be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews, close friends and the congregation and friends at St. Andrew’s United Church in White Lake. He will be missed by his furry friends Tigger and Molly. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Elizabeth (Holbein) Forrest of Glasgow Station and sister Catherine Weber (late George) of Minneapolis. A farrier by trade, David travelled around the Ottawa Valley meeting many an area farmer or horseman in need. David will be remembered for his love of music, his passionate woodworking abilities and his friendly debates surrounding politics. He was an integral member of the St. Andrew’s White Lake United Church and more specifically the church band. He enjoyed playing music and entertaining at different community functions, retirement homes, and nursing homes. His friendship and talents will be missed. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to the St. Andrew’s White Lake United Church.
