Obituary of Marie Butler

(nee Pratt) October 5, 1933-August 9, 2021 We are saddened to announce that Marie passed away peacefully at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior Monday morning, August 9, 2021 at the age of 88. Marie Anne Theresa Butler of Arnprior, Ontario, beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Butler. Loving mother of Tim Butler of Ottawa and Gail Dontigny (Gordon) of White Lake. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her “like a son” Jeff Waters (Angie) of England, niece Colleen Coté (Steve) of Braeside and nephew Ricky Vermette (Melissa) of Arnprior. Predeceased by sisters Rita Bjerke (late Ivar), Edith Vermette (late Leo) and nephew David Vermette (Cathy). Daughter of the late James and Mary Pratt. Sadly missed by fur-kids Mr. Bo Jangles and Patches. Also predeceased by dear friend Flossie Chartrand. Marie will be remembered for her love of Elvis Presley. Her smile and charm will remain forever in our memory. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Fishman and Marie’s “Grove Family” for their excellent care and attention. Marie’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where a Liturgy of the Word Service will be held Monday August 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to the Arnprior and District Humane Society or to the Grove Redevelopment Fund. "She wore grace in her heart and flowers in her hair."
