Reg. N. It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Elizabeth Sanchioni (nee Smith) announce her passing on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at Robertson House, Nepean, Ontario. Loving mother to Peter (Esther) of Terra Cotta, Ontario and Lydia (Carl) of Kanata. Ontario. Best granny in the world to her grandchildren Joseline, Gregory and Alec. She will be greatly missed by numerous extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 25 years, Carlo Sanchioni, her brother Stanley and his wife Allouise Smith of Riverview, New Brunswick, her sister Doris and her husband Les Osborn of Welwyn Garden City, England and her parents William and Agnes Smith of Moncton, New Brunswick. Marg became a Registered Nurse in 1952 after graduating from the School of Nursing at Ottawa Civic Hospital where she worked for several years in the labour and delivery ward before going to work in a doctor's office. In 1974, Marg and her family moved to Braeside, Ontario. She worked alongside her husband at the Arnprior Pharmacy and subsequently returned to nursing before retiring. Marg was an active participant in the Braeside Catholic Women's League and enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends. Marg's family wishes to convey their thanks to the staff at Island View and Robertson House retirement residences for the kindness shown their mother. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made in Marg’s memory to the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program Inc. or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Margaret’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Sunday July 4, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. There will be a brief Live Webcast Family Eulogy on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 18 Dochart Street, Braeside. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. The Funeral Mass and Interment will be streamed via Live Webcast. Due to COVID restrictions, a limited number of people are permitted at the funeral home, church and cemetery at any given time. Facemasks/coverings and social distancing measures are required at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
