With sadness the family announces that Howard passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, Saturday morning, April 17, 2021; Howard Leckie of Braeside at the age of 89. Born in Sand Point, Ontario to his late parents Thomas and Beatrice (Burton) Leckie. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Watters). Much loved father of Carrie and Howie Leckie. Predeceased by daughter Kelly (1968). Cherished grandfather of Riley and Brady Leckie and Mary McCuaig and most cherished great-grandfather of Sky and Ozias. Survived by brother John Leckie. Howard will be missed dearly by his partner Helen Cavanagh and family. Predeceased by his 3 brothers; Fred, Glen and Munro and 4 sisters; Alice Munro, Gloria Thomlinson, Mary Clouthier and Maybourne Arseneault. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Howard will be remembered for his love of fishing and a good game of cards. Howard’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Private family interment Saturday April 24, 2021 at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. In memory of Howard a donation may be made to the Bonnechere Manor.
