Please share a memory of David H. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David H. Laventure, CPA, CGA November 6, 1947-March 2, 2021 A brilliant mind shall now be free. Dave was released to the loving arms of his parents Clark and Millie Laventure, faithful companion Houston and God on Tuesday afternoon, March 2, 2021. Dave H. Laventure, CPA, CGA, had a long and prosperous career as an accountant within Ottawa and the surrounding areas. He prided himself on building a strong relationship with his clients who became like friends and family. He served on many boards including Emmanuel Anglican Church, V.O.N., President of Ottawa Chapter of CGA’s of Ontario, Tribunal Board of CGA’s, Board Member of Sand Point Public Cemetery, Advocate for the Conservative Party, Ducks Unlimited, and mentor to many Co-Op Students. David’s interests included woodworking, following the NASCAR Circuit, and ANYTHING involving the Civil War. Dave enjoyed his life and would like to thank all of those who made it possible. Topping the list is his family, and the most important person is his devoted wife and high school sweetheart Bonnie. For 52 years Bonnie was his strength, confidant and lover. Together they built several homes, a strong business and a loving family. He was always proud of “his girls”, Kerri (Mike), Kendra and bonus daughter Toni. His heart exploded with pride and joy when he looked at his grandchildren-Logan (Tayia), Gabby, Dylan, and bonus grandchildren Martin and Jorja, but his great-grandbabies stole the show-Braxton, Paisley, Georgia, and Mila. He is survived by his siblings Suzanne (Terry), Doug, Nancy (Tom), Fay and Robin. Predeceased by his brother Reginald (late Nancy). Dave will be missed by Bonnie’s loving family. His mother-in-law Yvette Carr (late Grant), Faye (Anton), June, Lynne (Doug) and Doug (Faye). “Uncle Dave” will be sorely missed by his many loving nieces and nephews who will now have to carry on with his twisted sense of humour which included the “Legend of the Swamp Hoggers and the Side Hill Gougers”. Heartfelt thanks to the Bayshore PSW’s, Sis-in-law “Jumping June” for her devoted and tender loving care of “Dashing Dave”, Dr. E. Gordon, Paramedic Matt and Nurse Amanda. David’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A service and celebration of his life will take place at a later date with interment at Sand Point Public Cemetery. In memory of David a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior. There is one thing that Alzheimer’s cannot take away and that is LOVE, for LOVE is not a memory-it is a feeling that will always reside in your heart and soul. We will not say goodbye-but see you later my love. “With tears of sorrow we cry each day, in angels arms you were carried away, our memories of love and laughter shall not fade, for inside our hearts you will ALWAYS stay.” Xo
