(Retired-Bell Telephone, 38+ years) It is with sadness the family announce that Ted passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Friday morning, January 29, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of 70 years to Doris (nee Rivett). Loved father of Marilyn, Glenn, Stephen, Donald (Anne) and Bonnie Martell (Paul). Cherished grandfather of Julie (Chad), Stephanie (Mike), Amanda (Joe) and Morgan and great-grandfather of Brendan, Kylie, Matthew, Lucas and Jenevieve. Dear brother of Jean Coulas (Bernie), Eileen Demers (Don) and John Hyndman (Gail) all of Ottawa. Predeceased by brother Allan (late Marilyn). Rug hooking was a well known and well- loved pastime of Ted’s. Over the years, he graciously gave each member of his family (and a few special friends in Arnprior) a rug to display in their home. He was always interested in the lives of those around him, especially what his children and grandchildren were “up to”. He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends made. Friends at the Grace St. Andrew’s United Church will miss him at his well proven post of “Doing the Dishes” at many a church dinner and function. The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the Arnprior Villa for their excellent care. He truly loved living at the Villa and being part of the well friended community there. The family also wish to extend a BIG thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Arnprior Hospital for their compassionate care. Ted’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where a private family memorial service will be held Friday February 5, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Boyce Chapel. The memorial service will be webcast live for family and friends who are unable to attend due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. Please join us virtually Friday afternoon by selecting the Live Webcast button under the donations tab to the left of this page. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. In memory of Ted, a donation may be made to the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program or to the Grace St. Andrew’s United Church in Arnprior.
