Obituary of Lois Pearce

(nee Hadden) (Former Co-owner, Pickerel Bay Lodge, White Lake) “Absent from the body, present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8-10) It is with sadness that the family of Lois Jean Pearce announce her peaceful passing at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on January 16, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Pearce. Proud and loving mother of Susan of Ottawa, Robert (Kim) of Michigan, U.S.A. and David (Rachel) of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, David, Jason, Fiona, Clara and Isla. Predeceased by daughter Barbara (Pat), parents Marion and Helen (Wilsey) Hadden, brother Russell (late Esther) and brother-in-law Jack Pearce (late Margaret). Lois will be missed by her nieces: Valerie Clarke and Linda Wright, her family and many friends. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Arnprior Villa and the Arnprior Hospital and to Dr. Kurian, Dr. Boersma and nurse Kungu for their excellent care and compassion. Also thank you to Dr. Shriver, her dedicated family doctor for many years. Lois’ arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. In memory of Lois, a donation to St. Andrew’s United Church, White Lake or Compassion Canada would be appreciated. Funeral Service will be held Saturday September 18, 2021 at the White Lake United Church at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at 2941 Concession 4, White Lake, Ontario K0A 3L0. Interment White Lake Community Cemetery. A limited number of guests are permitted at the church, reception and cemetery. Please RSVP to the left of this page to confirm attendance. Social distancing/Facemasks/coverings are required at the church, reception and cemetery.
