To Don’s Family
I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. I lived across the street from the store, in the house that is now a Real Estate.
I got my first job working in the store, cleaning the cabins, yes I said cabins. Then his parents lived in the back of the store. I remember it like yesterday.
Glenn, Mildred, Joy, Don and Shirley were a wonderful family. You have a lot to be proud of being an Eckford.

Valerie, Jill, Steve and Robin, I was sorry to hear about your dad. I hadn't seen him for many years, but ran into him a couple years ago on Decoration Sunday and had a short visit. I have many good childhood memories of spending time with you at the farm and at Aunt Thelma and Uncle Cecil's home. Sad how we drift apart and get busy in our lives and we don't get to Arnprior much anymore. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Janice

Valarie, Joy , Stephen and Robin and your extended family please accept our heartfelt condolences on Don’s passing. Your Mom and Dad were so good to me and so many of us high school wannabes that work for them at Twin Maples. But I always felt a special friendship with your Dad. His generosity and support towards me was always appreciated and remembered.
I have lots of great memories and stories I could relate from yrs of working for him as well as the frogs legs and and drink of rum at the end of a Saturday shift. Which I am sure he didn’t do with everyone.
He was a easy boss, a great guy and a friend to someone 2 decades his junior.
So glad I got to visit with him couple weeks on the veranda at the Villa I will miss Don and cherish the memories.
Again we r so sorry to hear of his passing
Walter, Barbara Stack and family.
