Sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. He was a good friend of my dad's and I remember them having beers in the garage beside the restaurant and telling me of hunting/fishing stories that sounded half crazy. One of the good ones he was.

Hello Anne, Jane and Jimmy. We were very sorry to hear about Gerry’s passing. We don’t get a chance to see many of you any more and that’s a sad thing. I have many memories of our family camping trips to White Lake and always looked forward to the time we would spend with Gerry, Mildred and the family. Any time there was a family get together, you knew it was going to be a good time, drinking would be involved and lies were going to be told. (or should I say, great stories were going to be told!) When we were all getting married it was a time of great fun and excitement. When Judy first met the Arnprior relatives I have to admit I was more than a little bit scared - I wasn’t sure what was going to happen or be said especially when she met Mildred and Gerry and they both said, “Have we got some stories to tell you…” But that’s how our families are, quick to bring in loved ones and get them up to speed on their other half.
It’s sad that Gerry has left us, but good to know he’s with your Mom.
Sorry for your loss.
George, Judy, Connor and Bailey.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I have great memories of Gerry's quick wit and humour, volunteering at the Arnprior Fish and Game Club. I was lucky to work with him and Don Pierce for numerous Walleye watches, and other events. He will be missed in the hunting and fishing community.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Gerry 30 years ago at Boeing and I always found him to be helpful and quite understanding when explaining things to a junior like me. I always found what he told me could be trusted. He was someone I am proud to have known.
My sincere condolences.

So sad to hear about Gerry’s passing.
Whenever we met, hunting and fishing stories were quite often shared although he would never quite relay his fishing successes or hot spots.
Our Ryan’s Mountain Lodge Hunt Camp members always enjoy our annual trek to the Wolf Lake Hunt Camp in April and Gerry was always so happy that we visited his beloved camp.
Deepest condolences to the entire Macklem family.

Anne and family,
So sorry to hear of your father's passing. I had the pleasure to work with your Dad for many years at Boeing. Always one with a great story or anecdote to share and a huge laugh to go with it. Gerry was a kind man and hard worker, well respected by his fellow co-workers and peers. If there was a tool that no one could find, Gerry would locate it for you and be sure to put it back where it belonged so it would be there for the next time anyone needed it. His attention to detail and dedication to his work was very apparent to me. He was very proud family man. My thoughts and prayer are with you all. May he rest in peace.
