Obituary of Morley Paget
Please share a memory of Morley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
August 12, 1940-January 28, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morley Earl Paget, (age 79) Tuesday January 28, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Morley is lovingly remembered by his children: Julie Simpson (Stephen) of Millbrook ON (grandsons William and Benjamin); Tim Paget (Jennifer) of Ottawa, (grandson Tryp); his former wife Barbara Paget-Puppa and his four-legged, furry companion Mindie. Morley was the only child of Earl and Isobel Paget. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their care, support and kindness during this difficult time. From early years Morley studied piano and then in his late teens he turned to the organ. The sound of it, the challenge of it, and the beauty of its music, drew him into churches and choirs, building a long and loving joy of both organ and choral music. Morley will be greatly missed by many long-time family friends in Ottawa, as well as friends from his current home in Arnprior, from Woodlawn and Fitzroy Harbor. With much gratitude, Morley’s final care has been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 8, 2020 at the St. Thomas Anglican Church, 3794 Woodkilton Road, Woodlawn at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow in the church hall. Interment at Capital Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, memoriam donations can be made to the parishes of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Woodlawn or St George’s Anglican Church Fitzroy Harbour.
