Obituary of Hazel Schnob

(nee Craig)

Peacefully at Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew on Wednesday evening September 11, 2019; Doreen Hazel Schnob of Arnprior passed away just one week shy of her 87th birthday.  Hazel was predeceased by her late husbands Bernard “Bunny” Lyon (1988) and the late George Schnob (2002).  Dearly loved mother of Bruce Lyon (Debbie) and Linda Betts (late Herb), both of Arnprior.  Loving grandmother of Matthew Lyon (Julie), Nick Lyon, Kerstin Dowd (Kyle) and Craig Betts (Brittany).  Cherished great-grandmother of Aden and Nolan.  Dear sister of Colin Craig (Shirley) of Arnprior and Ray Craig (late Sharon) of Athens, Ontario.  Predeceased by her sister Baunie Samida (late Dave).  She will be missed by her nieces and nephews.  Daughter of the late Harvey and Lila (Hyatt) Craig.  Hazel was a former member of the Mons Rebekah Lodge #203, Arnprior and was an avid golfer serving as past president of the Arnprior Golf Club Women’s League. She will be remembered for sharing her wonderful baking talents with her family and friends.  Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.  Visitations will be held Saturday September 14, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.   Funeral Service will be held Sunday September 15, 2019 at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Arnprior at 2:00 p.m.  Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery.  A reception will follow at de Renzy Hall (lower level of St. Andrew’s Church).  In memory of Hazel, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or to the Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew.
