Obituary of Eileen Gordon

Passed away peacefully in the Queensway Carleton Hospital on the evening of Friday, June 14, 2019.  Eileen Gordon, of Woodlawn at the age of 82. Predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Gordon. Much loved mother of Cathy Aubrey (Robert), Scott Gordon (Mary Jane) and Glenn Gordon (Kelly).  Cherished grandmother of Kyle and Kaitlin Aubrey, Megan, Eric and Jackson Gordon. Dear sister of Mary Proulx (late Charles). Predeceased by brothers Daryle Carmichael (Shirley), Howard Carmichael (late Doreen Moore) and John Carmichael (late Lavina).  Sister-in-law to Dr. Earl Gordon (Ruth), and the late Ken Gordon (late Margaret). Daughter of the late Wellington and Florence (McGregor) Carmichael. Eileen had a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse and will be remembered for her volunteer work with the Arnprior Hospital Auxiliary and Opportunity Shop as well as her love of baking, vegetable gardening, knitting, crocheting, lawn bowling and reading.  The family wish to extend a special thank you to the staff of Garden Terrace and to the doctors and nurses of the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Wednesday June 19th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon in the Boyce Chapel.  Reception to follow. Interment Whyte’s Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour. In memory of Eileen, a donation to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation would be appreciated.
