Dear Matt, Jane and family,
So sorry to hear about your Dad. Unfortunately we were away and could not attend the memorial. Mr. Sully taught me Grade 10 Forestry and could always tell a good story. I learned early in his class to write everything down when he was speaking cause you never knew if it would be on the next test.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Susie and Rick

Mr. Sully (Forestry class) was one of the most intuitive teachers we had at ADHS. It was not that hard to get Mr. Sully off topic and have discussions from growing up in Arnprior to World politics. He is remembered well by his students.

Barry was a good man. when I was a student at ADHS in the sixties, he advised that the world is a big place. He told us that we should leave the Ottawa Valley, if we had the opportunity and find our place in a big world. I did that. I always remembered that advice over thee years. Thank you Mr Sully

Dear Matt and Sully family,
My condolences on your loss of Barry. He was Mr. Sully to me. I thought he was a great teacher ! I studied in his Forestry and Grade 13 Geography classes and was glued what he had to say. I was able to view his areal photography pictures in 3D. What an experience as not all persons can see in 3D. Pollution was just becoming an issue in the early 1970 era, that was one of our curriculum subjects in Geography. RIP Mr. Sully
Sincerely,
Debbie McLachlan

My deepest condolences to Mr. Sully’s family. Mr Sully was an exceptional teacher who inspired me to take urban geography and then urban planning at university. I will be retiring this summer after 37 years from the best profession and job anyone could ask for. All because of Mr. Sully. A wonderful man!

My condolences to Mr Sully’s family and friends. Mr Sully was my history and forestry teacher, back in the late ‘70s. Always willing to pass on stories and antidotes and a very unique method of teaching... a great man and a wonderful teacher, I am sure he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Sully was an incredible teacher. He taught us to read between the lines and think outside the box. One of my life lessons he taught me was attendance matters as only 30% of what we read in school books would be on the exam and it was the little things said In class would make up the bulk of the exam.. He was right and never forgot his teachings. Condolences to his family. Rip sir.
