William "Bill" George MacMeechan

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our dad Bill MacMeechan of Braeside, Ontario.  Bill passed away unexpectedly at home, Saturday May 19, 2018.  He was 64.  Born, March 26, 1954 in Marathon, Ontario, son of the late William and Mary (nee Napier) MacMeechan.  Bill married the love of his life the late Barbara MacMeechan (August 7, 2017) on December 15, 1973.  Much loved and proud father of Meagan MacMeechan (Ottawa) and Mandy Stinson (Arnprior) and most cherished grandfather of Deven and Liam Stinson.  Dear brother of Jeanette Simpson (Bob) and Shiela MacMeechan, both of Florida.  Bill will forever be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and will be missed by the Lebrun family and extended families.  Bill worked as a machinist with Smith’s Construction as well as Westinghouse and Sandvik.  A real sports-lover Bill coached Baseball, one of his favorite sports and played with the Arnprior Ladies Fastball League for 10 years for Hypernetics and R.B.C.  He shared his love for music with Barb as members of the Spirit of 69 (drum corps marching band) for 10 plus years in Arnprior. His love, kindness and warm smile will never be forgotten by his children, grandchildren and friends.  Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.  Please join us for visitations on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 6-8 pm and after 12 noon Friday.  Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated Friday May 25, 2018 at the Boyce Chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery.  If you wish to make a donation in memory of Bill,  please consider Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program Inc. or Renfrew Victoria Hospital “Dialysis Unit”.
