Mona was a champion of quality care for the clients at the Royal. I admired her keen sense of justice and the way her righteous anger made her brave enough to speak up to uphold appropriate standards. Mona had a wonderful sense of humour and I have fond memories of the laughter generated at the lunch table the days Mona came to Meadow Creek. It was clear that her family was a key priority in her life. I hope all her relatives and friends have all the support they need in this time of loss.

I only met Mona once but I felt I knew her
because Mona’s sister is my dearest friend Donna. She spoke often of Mona as a positive loving sister devoted to her son Martin & his family. Her bravery and determination during her life was something
to be admired

Mona was a bright, shining light in the world. I loved her sense of humour, her quiet determination and lovely spirit. I have fond memories of her visiting me at Mont Tremblant with Donna and Sandy and of her cycling along with us "Candoers" on the P'tit Train du Nord bike trail in Quebec. I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Mona.
I hope happy memories of her will help you in your time of sorrow.

Deepest condolences to Mona's family and many friends. I knew her from the ROH where she was highly regarded for her expertise and compassion. She had the reputation of being a listener, a problem solver and true friend. A great loss.

My sincerest condolences to everyone who is grieving the loss of Mona Moorhouse at this difficult time. Especially in my thoughts and prayers is Mona’s son, Martin Gauthier and his family. Mona was not only a great sister but also a best friend and confidante who was empathetic and also a lot of fun. She will be sorely missed by her immediate and extended family and friends. I close with an Irish Blessing,
Those we love don’t go away;
They walk beside us every day;
Unseen, unheard but always near;
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Until we meet again, may god hold you in the palm of his hand.
