Obituary of Catherine Elizabeth Smith

(nee Stokes) August 26, 1949-—January 6, 2015 CEO, Boyce Funeral Home Ltd. Cathy passed away at home with her family members at her side early Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015. Beloved daughter of Mrs. Rachel (Bretzlaff) Stokes and the late G.S. “Gerry” Stokes. Dearest wife of Eldon whom she married on July 10, 1971; that was the start of everything. Loving mother of Jim, Robert “Bobby” (Amanda) and Lisa (Derrick) Smith. Cherished grandmother of Maddy and Max. Daughter in law of Adrienne (late Ken) Smith, all of Arnprior. Survived by sister Debbie Marquez of Arnprior and Arthur (Gwen) Stokes of Braeside. Dear niece of Lorne (Joanne) Bretzlaff, Mel (Marion) Bretzlaff , Joyce (late Mev) Harris all of Arnprior, Lennis (late Myrtle) of Otter lake P.Q., Roy Bretzlaff of Ladysmith P.Q. and Gale Emmerson of Arnprior. Predeceased by her aunt Jean (Ken) Evenson. Survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. A special thank- you to Dr. Robson and Patty Stewart for their compassionate care. Visitations at The Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre, 138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior where friends may pay their respects on Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. only. Funeral service will be conducted in Grace St. Andrew’s United Church, Arnprior on Friday January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation afterwards. A reception will be held in The Christian Education Centre following the service. In memoriams to The Arnprior Humane Society would be appreciated by her family.
